Most full sized boards share resources between slots, and whilst you're on a Micro board and the manual looks to be clear of such things, I'd certainly try it as a "just in case it works" sort of thing. One thing that I may suggest whilst I'm here is to try the Firewire card in another PCI-e slot if you haven't already. Past that you'll need to confirm with Midas for any desk specific "known" issues that I might not be aware of as I don't have a lot of experience with it. Sorry, I don't have an easy answer for you, but I can confirm that it *should* work with most Firewire devices, or at least it does in prior testing. The newer model you have there in front of you it should just be working fine both with and without the legacy driver.
